Palazzo Seneca sits just outside the perimeter of Monti Sibillini National Park. The village of Norcia, where the hotel is located, is a small village in Umbria known for its fresh air and peaceful atmosphere. You'll be sure to enjoy the breathtaking 90-minute drive from San Egidio Airport.
About This Hotel
You'd be doing a disservice to the restoration efforts of the Bianconi family by calling Palazzo Seneca a hotel. This beauty is a "house in an Umbrian palace," and truly looks the part.
It's true that the village of Norcia isn't packed with urban attractions, but its bounty of historic and pastoral treasures far exceeds the fast-paced thrills of the big city. This is black truffle country; cheese-lover country; snow marten, red deer, and golden eagle country. A gastronomic paradise and historian's delight. And Palazzo Seneca lets you stay right at the heart of it all.
Palazzo Seneca itself is a historic site from the 16th century, and has since been lovingly restored by the Bianconi family, which has been pioneering the hospitality industry in Italy for 150 years. Rooms feature gorgeous oak floors and details from Umbrian craftsmen, as well as antique furnishings and plush linens.
Here, you'll indulge in local cuisine at Ristorante Vespasia - truffles, lamb, Salumi, Chianina beef, all locally sourced, and cheeses made and aged on site. When you've had enough, roll your way over to the spa and let the masseurs knead your muscles while you make room for more.
