A small corner of the French countryside has been transported to rural Georgia at Chateau Elan. Here on 3,500 acres, a multi-faceted leisure and conference destination has been designed with all the hallmarks of a French country estate. The resort began with the planting of vineyards in 1981, and has grown exponentially into one of the regions most spectacular resorts, filled with world-class amenities.
Few resorts boast the natural beauty and eclectic nature of Chateau Elan's 63 holes of championship golf. Each course is designed to challenge golfers of all abilities, while also firing their imaginations. If one's game needs a little tune up before hitting the greens, an on-site Golf School is on hand to dispense pointers.
The resort's European-style Spa is quiet, romantic and serene, with 14 freshly renovated overnight suites. It's nestled inside a large mansion overlooking a sparkling lake, and even features its own restaurant.
The Winery was opened in 1984 and currently sits among acres of vineyards. Here, guests can sample one of the in-house labels, take in a wine tasting, or pick up a few bottles from the store.
